Impossible Ham and Broccoli Pie

1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli 
2 c. (16 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese 
1 1/2 c. cut-up ham (or 2 cans flaked ham, drained)
2/3 c. chopped onion 
1 cup milk 
3 eggs 
3/4 c. Bisquick 
3/4 tsp. salt 
1/4 tsp. pepper 
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease pie plate, 10 x 1 1/2 inches. Rinse broccoli under running cold water to thaw; drain thoroughly. Mix broccoli, 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese, ham and onion in plate. Beat milk, eggs, Bisquick mix and salt and pepper until smooth, 15 seconds in blender on high or 1 minute with hand beater. Pour into plate. Bake 20 minutes until knife inserted in centre comes out clean. Top with remaining cheese. Bake just until cheese is melted 1 to 2 minutes longer. Cool 5 minutes.
4 to 6 servings
 
SAVORY TOPPING
Mix 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix, 1/4 cup sliced almonds, 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese and 1/8 tsp garlic powder. Cut in 2 tbsp butter.
