Easy Barbeque Chicken


 
 
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 cups water plus 1 tablespoon cornstarch (mixed)
2 cups ketchup
1 tsp mustard
3 heaping tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
3 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
4 - 5 boneless chicken breasts cut into smaller pieces or you can use boneless thighs or a combination (you can use chicken with bones, however the meat is so tender that it falls off the bone and then you have lots of bones in your gravy)
Combine all ingredients in a dutch oven and cook at 350° for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
If you don't have a dutch oven, use a covered large corningware or casserole bowl covered with foil and cook for 2 hours. Or slow cook for 4 hours.
Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
