2 ½ cup sugar
3/4 cup or 5 Oz Can evaporated milk
1 c marshmallow cream or 16 large marshmallows
1/4 cup butter
¼ t salt
1 ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped, Toasted optional
1 tsp vanilla
Mix sugar, milk, marshmallows, butter and salt in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, to a boil. Boil and stir for 5 minutes more. Take off heat.
Stir in the chips until completely melted. Stir in vanilla and pecans (or walnuts).
Spread in a buttered 8x8 pan and cool. Cut into pieces.
For butterscotch or peanut butter replace the choco chips with butterscotch chips or peanut butter chips.
